Alumni Pledge to Save Redbud Woods

We, the undersigned Cornell Alumni, strongly encourage President Lehman and the Cornell administration to reconsider their decision to destroy Redbud Woods. We hold that 176 parking spaces are not worth the ecological, social, and aesthetic losses that paving the woods would entail. Our beloved campus and the surrounding Ithaca community cannot suffer in this way.
*Accordingly, we will withhold all financial support until the University lives up to its commitment on sustainable development and immediately abandons this project. *Please indicate if you are unwilling to withhold financial support, but would still like to support the preservation of Redbud Woods. |
